Posterior urethral valves (PUV) are severe conditions that can lead to progressive damage to kidney function and long-term risk of end-stage disease. PUV is the most common form of congenital urinary outflow obstruction with wide geographic, ethnic, and therapeutic variations globally that need to be addressed.
