Letter of Invitation

Letters of invitation are available here.

The sole purpose of an invitation letter is to facilitate delegates’ visa arrangements and does not imply financial or other support by the organizers. All expenses incurred in relation to the Congress are the sole responsibility of the delegate.

The SIU will not contact embassies or consulates on behalf of applicants.

It is the delegate’s responsibility to allow adequate time to make visa arrangements.

Official Italian Agency

Emilia Viaggi (via Porrettana 76/2, 40033 Casalecchiode Rino, Italy) has been appointed as the Official Travel Agent for Italian Pharmaceutical Companies wanting to participate in the SIU 2019 Congress.

Taxi

Taxis operate a 24-hour service and are quite inexpensive. They can be hailed down on the street or otherwise picked up at taxi stands around major tourist squares. You can also book one calling the radio taxi line.  Fares are charged with a meter after the initial base rate of €3.44 is applied. The tariff is €0.74 per Km and will double after midnight through to 5am.

Tipping

Tipping in Greece may be expected in most places, but it is by no means an obligation. There is no set standard for how much to leave when service exceeds expectations, but there are certain times to tip. For instance, some restaurants may round up the bill to include gratuity, so it is wise to look for this inclusion before tipping. It is also common for servers not to receive tips included on a credit card, so try to leave cash whenever possible.
