October 10 - 11 | 40th Congress of the Société Internationale d'Urologie - Virtual

SIU Statement on COVID-19

Dear friends and colleagues,

Over the past several weeks, SIU’s Congress Organizing Committee and Board of Directors have been reviewing the numerous factors impacting urological education, including the considerations for the health and safety of the urological community and the public.

It has become apparent that the best way to meet the educational needs of our members and colleagues while also respecting their health, safety and reasonable ability to attend an international urology event is to cancel the live, in-person event previously scheduled for October 7-11 in Montreal, Canada and instead focus our efforts on delivering a state-of-the-art virtual event, accessible to all.

SIU 2020 will now take place solely via our virtual congress platform, SIU@U, which we have been using for the past 5 years. The platform is user-friendly, innovative and will include many special activities and features to make SIU 2020 a unique digital experience, such as a virtual exhibit hall, lounge area and interactive theatre.

Access to the virtual event will be free, and registration will open in the coming days.

In the next few days and weeks, we will be releasing additional information via social media and our website as to the details of scientific programme and special keynote speakers who have been added to the virtual event. Stay tuned!

Thank you for your continued support of SIU 2020—we look forward to seeing you online October 10-11!

Invitation to Montreal

SIU 2020 offers the unique opportunity for the international urology community to assemble in the city where the SIU Central Office has called home for over 20 years - Montreal: a North American metropolis with European flair!

Scientific Programme Co-Chairs, Drs. Christopher Evans and Rajeev Kumar, along with the SIU Office of Education have assessed the educational needs of SIU members and Congress attendees to determine the most relevant and timely educational topics, to be presented by international key opinion leaders.
