The purpose of this survey is to assess global practice patterns and physicians’ awareness of national, regional, and institutional regulations on antimicrobial prophylaxis in andrological surgery. It aims:
- to evaluate how applicable general surgery and urology guidelines are within andrology practice, while identifying whether there is a need for systematic reviews, meta-analyses; and
- to develop dedicated GAF guidelines on antimicrobial prophylaxis for minor andrological procedures.
Eligibility:
- Clinicians actively involved routinely in performing minor andrological surgery or managing patients who undergo at least one of the following andrological procedures, such as: inguinal/subinguinal varicocele repair, circumcision, hydrocelectomy, surgical sperm retrieval, vasectomy, microsurgical seminal tract reconstruction (vasovasostomy, vasoepididymostomy), or removal of benign penile skin lesions.
- GAF membership is not required to participate in this survey.
Survey Details:
- Format: about 140 multiple-choice questions, depending on individual responses to certain questions, you may not have to answer all questions.
- Respondents interested in manuscript writing and authorship credit should answer the designated question at the end of the survey.
- Estimated time: approximately 30 minutes.
- The survey data will be anonymized (as per sound research practices) before being analyzed, interpreted, or written
