Nominations to the SIU Board of Directors

The Nominating Committee must propose a new Board of Directors (BOD) slate to be presented to the General Assembly for approval at the SIU Congress in Florence, Italy (Friday, November 13, 2026).

Listed below are the positions up for nomination:

• Vice President, 1-year term
• General Secretary Elect, 1-year term
• Treasurer Elect, 1-year term
• Office of Education, 4-year term
• Consensus and Education, 2-year term, renewable once
• Scientific Programme Co-Chair, 2-year term, renewable once

If you would like to nominate a candidate, or candidates, to serve on the BOD, please send their names and the position you are nominating them for, to Isabel Kolodny at [email protected] before May 18th so that they may be reviewed at the next meeting of the Nominating Committee. Kindly note that according to the bylaws this will be the only opportunity to submit a nomination.

Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered:

• Members of the SIU in good standing
• Commitment to the Society’s mission
• Available to devote time to their committee and the BOD
• Innovative thinker
• International reach
• Self-nominations will not be accepted

Nominations must come with a detailed letter of recommendation.
