SIU 2021 Congress Trainee Scholarship Application

SIU offers a scholarship programme for select residents/fellows from "B" and "C" countries—based on World Bank Data from July 2020—to attend the 41st SIU Congress in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from November 10-14, 2021. The scholarship covers registration and hotel accommodations for up to 4 nights.

The application process is still open. The deadline for applications has been extended to May 30, 2021. (2020 Applications have been deferred to 2021 and will also be considered.)

Please note that the applicant will be responsible for their own travel costs to and from Dubai, and any other related expenses, such as visas, meals, insurance, COVID-19 testing, and other incidentals. Residents might wish to approach their local national urological organization to help defray some of these costs. Residents should consult COVID-19 travel guidelines from their country of origin and must comply with the guidelines of the host country, United Arab Emirates. Please see here for more information.

Requirements for application:

• Must be a Resident or Fellow at the time of application.
• Must complete the online application before the deadline (including list of publications, awards/honours and previous conference presentations)
• Must reside in a World Bank-designated "B" or "C" country. To see a list of the World Bank classifications, please click here.
• Must have submitted at least one abstract for the SIU 2021 Congress.
